Rheumatology biosimilars have had a historic number of biosimilar launches in 2023 and all eyes are focused on the current and upcoming pipeline and its available real-world evidence. This session will explore ongoing market and utilization trends and the complexities of biosimilar integration in the ever-evolving landscape of managed care.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Review biosimilar complexities in rheumatology from a managed care perspective, including utilization trends and current regulatory standards.
  2. Identify evidence-based formulary considerations for the current biosimilar market, anticipated launches, and pipeline in rheumatology.
  3. Discuss available real-world evidence on the efficacy and safety of biosimilars in the rheumatology space to identify obstacles in the uptake of biosimilars and possible solutions.
