[W4] Biosimilar Operational Readiness: Managed Care Stakeholder Response to Market Expansion Impact

Pricing: Free for Members and Non-Members

This activity is supported by independent medical education grants from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Coherus BioSciences, Inc.

Course Description

With the emergence of biologics in the chronic inflammatory diseases space, all eyes are focused on the current and upcoming biosimilar pipeline. Many prominently used biologics have lost patent protection in 2023, paving the way for a new wave of biosimilars to flood the marketplace and to foster more competition than seen before in the biosimilar marketplace.

Managed care and other health professionals must monitor this unprecedented influx of biosimilars and its potential impact on pharmacy operations, patient care, and related cost savings.

This panel session will provide various managed care pharmacy perspectives on adjusting to the rapid biosimilar market expansion, including potential challenges and solutions.

Target Audience

Pharmacists who practice in managed care settings.
