[W5] Implementation of a Novel Oncology Home Infusion Model

Pricing: Free for Members and $30 for Non-Members

Course Description

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey partnered with Rutgers’ Cancer Institute of New Jersey/RWJBarnabas Health on a collaborative pilot program to promote home infusion of oncology therapeutics as an alternative to the conventional receipt of therapy at an oncology infusion center. The goal of the project was to improve the patient experience while maintaining quality patient care – all at a lower total cost of care.

Join this session to hear faculty cover learnings from the program including operational components around drug selection, inclusion/exclusion member criteria, navigation of member benefits, and outcomes tracking. Faculty will also highlight results of the pilot including strong patient satisfaction scores and total cost of care savings.

Target Audience

Pharmacists who practice in managed care settings.
